Here’s a really cool and new literary
event created just for Hinsdale Central students.
Have you
ever heard “The Moth” on NPR? It’s like
a crowd-sourced “The American Life.” Three English teachers have created an event, scheduled for the evening of February 19th, that will allow students to "tell their story" in a coffee-house-like setting. Live musical entertainment and refreshments will be provided.
Student writing submissions are due on January 29th.
The theme of this year's event is "Waves." Students must draw inspiration from the theme and be true and be about YOU, not a best friend.
Please see
a flier here.
Do you want more information? You can contact me, or Mrs. Robyn Corelitz (rcorelitz@hinsdale86.org), Mr. Hasham Bhatti (hbhatti@hinsdale86.org), or Ms. Kate Saunders (ksaunders@hinsdale86.org).
The deadline
for submissions is on Jan. 29th
and the event will be on Feb. 19th.
